Royalties & Payments
When Do I Get Paid?
Royalties are paid out at the end of each month. Keep in mind that new releases typically take 2–3 months before any revenue begins to generate.
SoSouth distributes royalty payments at the end of every calendar month. If you have a specific payout schedule preference, that can be arranged — just reach out to your SoSouth contact and we'll accommodate accordingly.
It's important to understand that newly distributed releases do not generate immediate revenue. Most DSPs operate on a reporting and payment delay, meaning streams and downloads from a given month are typically reported and paid out 1–2 months later. As a result, new listings generally take 2–3 months before any royalty income begins to appear.
Plan your release finances with this window in mind. If you have questions about your royalty status or payment timeline, contact your dedicated SoSouth representative.
